Company Description:

Founded in 1966, in Natick, MA, Brandon Residential Treatment Center is a non-profit, residential center providing diagnostic, time out, educational, residential and clinical services to approximately 250 children every year. The children placed at Brandon are usually considered to be too aggressive or too withdrawn to learn or grow without the help of special services.

All children enter Brandon with the goal of moving as quickly as possible to a less restrictive school and home environment. To that end, Brandon provides external structure to help children control their behavior, then help them to internalize their own behavioral controls. Simultaneously, children work to gain the academic skills necessary to build self-confidence. In addition, work with families is designed to re-unify and re-integrate children back into their homes and communities. Each of these elements contributes to Brandon's ultimate goal of returning students to their own communities, prepared to succeed alongside their peers. Most children entering Brandon return to a public school setting.
